At last year's festival we subjected Mike Bithell to a week of intense scrutiny. Almost every day of that week, Mike sat across from a series of special guests (Leigh Alexander, Martin Hollis, Keiron Gillen and more) who gave him advice. They'd played his last game, Thomas Was Alone. They'd thought about what was wrong with it. They'd thought about what was right with it. They then shared those thoughts with Mike straight to his face; candidly, with little regard to his feelings and without the barrier of Twitter or an ill-conceived series of internet videos between them. Poor, brave Mike.

Luckily, everyone thought Thomas Was Alone was pretty great and no one's feelings were hurt too badly.

Almost a year's gone by now, and he needs to learn some new stuff.

This October, Mike will be coming face to face with some new experts in an exclusive GameCity 8 event.

It's going to be a very special evening, in a secret location we've never used before - Nottingham Castle - where as well as getting brand new advice, Mike will also be revealing all of the details of his new project, Volume.

Mike Bithell, Project 2 : Volume.

All will be revealed, 8pm, Friday 25th October, 2013.

Entry to this event will be strictly limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

The venue is fully accessible on foot, by vehicle, or by wheelchair. However, the entrance is up a fairly steep incline and with lift access to the Long Gallery event space. If you need any assistance, have any mobility issues or specific access requirements, please let us know asap by contacting Chloe Smith, Event Co-ordinator, at chloe@gamecity.org.
