Tiny Games from Hide & Seek
From 5.00pm-6:30pm join Hide&Seek for a TINY TOURNAMENT to celebrate the launch of our Tiny Games app.
Tiny Games are games with rules only a few sentences long. You play them with the world around you, using whatever location and props you have to hand - games where you watch pedestrians pace by, games where you catch a lemon in a tea towel, games where you argue, games where you make up stories, games where you try to navigate without looking down.
Over the course of an hour we'll play some Tiny Games - including a couple that were TOO FIERCE FOR APPLE or TOO HARD TO EXPLAIN IN WORDS, and didn't make it to the final app. Then we'll make up up a few new games, and run through them in a fierce knockout to find the Tiny Games Champion: winner of a thrilling prize (as long as you're thrilled by a mug or tea towel with games on, but isn't EVERYONE?)
Also, live music from 6.00pm-8.00pm, with:
Georgie Rose
A seriously talented local songwriter. With an XFM single of the week, superstar fans like Billy Bragg and KT Tunstall, and a huge local following – Georgie’s had a busy couple of years. Prepare to be awestruck!
+ Daudi Matsiko
Daudi is a member of the English/German collective High Hopes Society, compared to “Ninja Tune Stalwarts like Cinematic Orchestra or Fink” (Scrimshire).
Their aim is to combine works from various musical and visual arts into something in which creative minds can get involved. Their sound is (unsurpringly) a combination of its members’ musical backgrounds.
Tonight, appearing solo, Daudi will captivate with his sometimes delicate, sometimes epic, always amazing songs.
